Development And Research Expeditions

General Information

Whilst DARE has already considered the political situation in all host countries, before accepting a place on a project you should be familiar with the current situation in your destination coutry. For advice from the UK Foreign Office, visit http://www.fco.gov.uk/

For some of our projects we recommend you complete a T.E.F.L (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course to optimise your impact on the project. ILA Scotland (Independent Learning Account) offer between £100-200 to students who wish to undertake an educational course, including T.E.F.L. If you are considering applying for a project we advise you to set up an individual learning account ASAP which will give you a discount on TEFL courses. There are also other courses you may find useful for your project, such as beginners Spanish, and details of these, along with information on how to set up your account, can be found at this link: http://www.ilascotland.org.uk/ILA+Homepage.htm
