Development And Research Expeditions
what we do

During the university vacations, D.A.R.E. sends teams of students to work on community projects in developing areas around the world. The organised activities range from English teaching, childcare and outreach work to basic construction, but our volunteers always return having learnt much more than how to build a fence! Project work through D.A.R.E. can develop great communication skills, teamwork, an appreciation for new and diverse cultures, and a sense that you really can make a difference to the lives of hundreds of others.

D.A.R.E. as a group fundraises all year to supply each group with funds to help people at each project.

what we do

These funds are spent by the groups in the best way they feel they should. For instance the India group bought school bags for the orphanage they visited. The Tanzania group used DARE funds to buy the all necessary to paint and revamp the school attached to the orphanage- giving it a whole new lease of life.

We hope by taking an active interest in the lives of those less fortunate than ours we can create a foundation to make their lives better.
